Commission won’t decide on chief until Feb. 21
MILTON—The Milton Police Commission met in closed session for nearly an hour and a half this morning but took no action.
The meeting had been called for “consideration of police chief appointment,” according to the agenda.
The commission has been discussing a replacement for Chief Tom Gilland, since he retired effective Jan. 7, and has stated that it is considering rehiring Gilland after he becomes eligible Feb. 7.
The commission set its next meeting for 7:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 21.
