Classes on Blackhawk Technical College’s main campus probably will resume in the morning.

The campus located between Beloit and Janesville shut down Thursday morning after workers digging a new well cut into a power line.

“Power has been restored, so it’s looking favorable for classes tomorrow,” spokesman Len Walker said Thursday night.

Officials plan to make a final decision before 5 a.m. Friday and announce it to the news media shortly afterward, Walker said.

“Right now, we’re very optimistic that we’ll have classes tomorrow,” he said.
