CLINTON—Four homes were without power—one overnight—after a DeLco Transport Inc. semitrailer truck took out three electrical poles Monday night, Clinton Police Department officer Dan Stearns said.

The truck was driving east on Milwaukee Street and turning right onto Mill Street when the rear axle struck the guide wire to an electric pole at 6:08 p.m.

The wire wrapped around the wheel and the first pole toppled. As the semitrailer truck kept turning, it pulled down two other poles, Stearns said.

The incident is under investigation.
