ELKHORN, Wis. (AP) - The Mark Jensen trial resumes today after a three-day weekend.

At last count, the prosecution was twenty witnesses behind, making some wonder if the trial can finish at the end of next month as originally predicted.

Last week Friday, Aaron Dillard, a Kenosha County Jail inmate, testified that he spent two days in jail in August with Jensen.

Dillard testified that Jensen told him he killed his wife Julie Jensen with doses of antifreeze in juice and then smothered her when it appeared she may have been recovering.

But defense attorney Craig Albee's cross-examination of Dillard painted him as a con man who fabricated his story to win release from prison.

According to testimony, Dillard had been convicted at least eight times for fraud, theft and other charges in the United States.

Dillard is expected to return to the stand today.
