No Super Bowl for the Packers
The Green Bay Packers lost their chance for a trip to the Super Bowl with an overtime loss to the New York Giants at Lambeau Field on Sunday night.
Lawrence Tynes kicked a game-winning field goal to beat the Packers 23-20 and advance the Giants to the Super Bowl against the New England Patriots.

Favre will be back he hasn't lost a thing. His arm is strong, he can move around when he has to. He's got a good core of young recievers who will have another year under their belt. They are way under the salary cap.

come on you can not blame this loss on favre, the packers were in the nfc championship in large part because of favre's great play this whole season. the whole team did not play their best and we just couldnt get it done... all team have bad games once in a while. true fans are with their team during the losses too, GO PACK.

Favre would have never been in that position to make that pass if the defense had not made costly mistakes that lead to a Giants touchdown. Manning (I hate to say it played better). I had the Packers finishing at 9-7 before the season started. We still won our division and finished 14-4 only New England has a better record and that what we accomplished it with young talent and a second year coach. Could we have done better sure. You can always sit back and say "we should have done this or done that". Bottom line we had a great season and I hope that Brett does come back because he still can play better that alot of the starting QB's in the NFL. So thanks for a great season and we will be back in September. GO PACK!

As a TRUE FAN, I was there at the game both last week when we were all on a high of blowing out a team & last night with the 10 minutes of silence as we shuffled out of the stadium.
We were in shock as we watched, as mentioned before, that our team just wasn't on all cylinders last night. Somehow the Pack kept the game close & some poor play calls, poor officiating, poor weather, poor choices made by both offense & defense. It wasn't just one play or one player that changed the outcome of the game, it was a lot of little things.
I would have liked the team to have finished the season with a Super Bowl win so Brett could retire being on top of the world. I hope & believe that he will be back next season.
It was a great birthday gift to me to just be there yesterday, freezing my fanny off & I loved NEARLY every minute of it!
To you so called "FANS" please be true to your team, because if you aren't your just a bunch of wanna-bes.
Forever a Packer Fan!

I sure as heck couldn't have gone out and played for 4 hours in -20 degree weather. There's no one person to blame. They lost, big deal. Come September, we'll be glued to the TV for yet another season!
Go Pack!!

Yes, he'll probably be back.
If not, then his last career pass in the NFL is one that caused a post season loss and cost the Packers an appearance in a Superbowl.

Favre isn't the sole reason the Packers lost. If anyone watched Sports Center last night, you would see in the interview that Driver ran the wrong route and Favre also admitted to not throwing the ball out to the side enough. It's easy to be an armchair quarterback! However, there were stupid penalties that racked up yards and 1st downs for the Giants that cost the Packers. Defense let players get by them, etc.., And, let's be fair here. The Giants played a heckuva game!! Eli was nearly flawless. Favre isn't a has been and I'm sorry you feel one man single handedly disappointed "us fans." This fan is disappointed, but it isn't because of Brett. If you want to talk about a QB costing a team a "W", lets talk about Phil Rivers and the Bolts!

Still, it was one hell of a year. Now that the young players feel the pain of a close loss, next year should be even better!! Go Pack!!

Favre is what held this team together this year. What I can't stand is 'fans' who look for someone to blame when their team does not win.
They had a bad game ,unfortunately their aren't any do overs.
Have some class people . YOU don't want to sound like Chicago and Minnesota fans.
They jump ship faster than mice from a burning barn.
GO Pack!!!!!!!!!!!
Love those Packers!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brett had a great career, there is no doubt. But he is at the end now; he should retire and stop holding the team back.

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA, when will it be time for everyone to stop kissing Favre's butt. They had the game given to them several times and gave it right back.....oh well, there's always next year.

It's a shame that "the faithful" get so caught up in the hype, the ads, the sports writer's, etc. This should have been predicted as the tight game it was, instead of all the blowout predictions looking past this game to the Super Bowl. The Giants handled quality teams with winning records much better than the Pack did. When it came to the cold conditions, we shudda remembered the Bear game instead of the Ice Bowl. Based on the profiles of many local fanatics in this morning's paper, counseling may be necessary around here tomorrow!

Just like clockwork! At the end of any decent season, Favre throws one of his grand interceptions to end any chance of a win.
If you think about it, besides the one Superbowl win and number of records based on longevity, this guy has dissapointed us fans over and over and over ....

Unbelievable loss. The Pack just didn't look like they were playing on all cylinders tonight. I hate it when people say "oh well, there's always next year." Favre just doesn't have too many of those left.
