JANESVILLE—A 19-year-old Janesville woman died in a one-car accident early Saturday morning, according to Janesville police.

Kelsie Rae Kingslien died at the scene after the sport utility vehicle she was driving in the 1000 block of Afton Road went off the road and struck a tree, according to a Janesville police press release. The accident occurred at about 1 a.m.

A passenger, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Mercy Hospital.

Police say Kingslien was not wearing a seatbelt.

The accident remains under investigation.

You guys are stupid for arguing over this!
You guys need to stop and think about the good things that she did in life.
Act like adults!

"ashlea? do you babysit trinity?, that is my neice...let me know....god bless carrie and her family during this time, kelsie was such an awesome person!!"
Yes I watch Trinity and may God bless the family and others that were touched by this young woman. We all have issues that we deal with on a daily basis, would we want others to know who we really are? Please, please, please for the love of God and everything that in holy, let this young woman rest in peace and let her family and friend remember the good, they deserve to have rest at this time. Nobody is better than anyone else, we all have our faults, some of us have more than others and to have people airing others dirty laundry is cruel and uncalled for, the world took a young woman from us and she deserves the respect and peace that anyone else in this matter would want. She may have been doing wrong, but this is one mistake that she and her passenger clearly learned from, sorry it had to be a rough and deadly lesson. I care very much for the family and friends that Kelsie left behind, may she rest in peace and may her passenger recover fully as best as she can.

This response is done with Mr. Kingsliens approval. I have known him for the better part of 17 yrs. Kelsie was always in his heart, not in his care, do to his wifes dying wishes. The circumestances under which she was taken from him were tragic. She has 9 other brothers and sisters, in his care, and they are all the models of any school or activity that they are involved with. He is also the most dedicated father, along with his wife, of anybody I have ever known. I wish that every person that I met took as much effort, love, and devotion that those two people do everyday. He would never hurt anyone and rude coments that are being written are crazy. The family did what they could, when they could, but the fact remains the same. They burried their daughter today. Please show them the respect they deserve. I feel for them and the family. She was a specail young women that missed a second chance. God bless those of you that are greiving with them, they truely deserve it

oh and one more thing to the people talking bad about kelsie: irregardless of how you feel about her, if you have to take the time to look up every person who dies and see if they are a criminal that clearly means that you have noone in your life that love you the way kelsie had!!! kelsie had family and friends that loved her very much no matter what she did!!! how dare any of you talk bad about her you didnt even know her, even if you did know her it doesnt take away the fact that her family and friends will never see her again, never talk to her again, never see her smile or here her laugh, she was 19 years old, how many of us can honestly say we never did anything that we regretted when we were 19.....i certainly cannot, so judge and ye shall be judged!!! R.I.P KELSIE!! AND SLEEP WITH THE ANGELS!!!!

so anybody that thinks that there stupid comments really matter to the people that knew and loved kelsie are completely wrong, that doesnt create any bad feelings for any of us that had the pleasure of knowing her and loving her for who she was as a person, to carrie: you know that you can call or drop trinny off with me anytime, she is my neice and i love her, whatever you need right now just give me a call!!!

Why is it when something tragic happens to someone, others have to bring up the victims personal problems. It's nobody's business but the victims and the families at this point. Why can't we all just send a nice comment to the family?
I can't believe how many rude people there are! It's very rude what some people will say.
My thoughts goes out to the family! I could never imagine my life without my daughter.

To all those people making rude comments or saying kelsie needed help you honestly did not know her. I have been kelsie's best friend for twelve years. She was an amazing person and yeah she made some bad choices but doesn't everyone? Kelsie was kind hearted and would do anything for anybody even if she didn't know them. She was the most outgoing and fun person i know. I know she will truly be missed by me and everyone else who REALLY knew her. I knew every exact detail about her and I know she was better than any bad thing anyone can say about her. She will always be in our hearts and shes an angel watching over the ones who loved her. I LOVE YOU KELSIE. k2k forever. 22

ccap does not show what a kind, loving person Kelsey was.She was a person who would do anything for friends, family or just about anybody she knew. Some people did not know what she went through as a child....maybe that is why she did what she did,but that does not make her a bad person....just someone who enjoyed life and made bad choices....we are all only human and have made bad choices too.

I came upon this scene on my way to work and would like to commend the courage and strength of the young ladies that were first to arrive. Their care in pulling over and calling for help was critcal in helping the young lady that survived. The cold and conditions were terrible. Police and Rescue did a remarkable job as well.

My heart goes out to the family of the young girl who was lost and to the young lady that survived as well.
