ELKHORN, Wis. (AP) - A bank robber who spent time in jail with a man whose wife was poisoned, testified today the defendant, Mark Jensen, confessed to him and asked him to help make a witness go away.''

David Thompson says he and Jensen were in the same Kenosha County jail cell block for about three weeks last September and spoke regularly.

Dressed in an orange jail jumpsuit, Thompson testified today in Walworth County court that Jensen told him he was worried about a former co-worker who was going to testify that Jensen told him he planned to poison his wife. And, he wanted him, Ed Klug, to just go away'' until after the trial. Thompson told Jensen he had a friend who would make the witness disappear for $1,000. Thompson says Jensen agreed.

Jensen is charged with killing his wife, Julie, who was found dead in 1998 at her home in Pleasant Prairie.

When I read the headline, I thought it refered to Scott Jensen, the former Assembly Leader. Maybe the first name should have been used in the headline?
