Packers hosting NFC Championship

Hotel phone lines in northeastern Wisconsin have got to be lit up.

The road to the Super Bowl is heading through Green Bay.

The 11-6 New York Giants upset the host Dallas Cowboys 21-17 in the second round of the NFC playoffs. As such, the NFC Championship game will be held at Lambeau Field.

Had the Giants lost, the Packers would have been playing in Dallas for the right to play the winner between the New England Patriots and the San Diego Chargers.

I'm conflicted here:

As a Bears fan I'd like to see the Pack go all the way because that would, in effect, make the Bears the true Superbowl champs.

On the other hand, I'd like to see the Pats win because I'm tired of hearing about those ancient Dolphin veterans always rooting against any team that might have an undefeated season with even more wins than Miami had back in the 70s.

Especially because Miami ruined the Bears undefeated season in 85.
