JANESVILLE, Wis. (AP) - The best friend of the woman murdered a year ago along with her two children says she's relieved that charges have finally been filed in the case.

Angie Puckett talked today after Rock County prosecutors charged James Koepp with stabbing and strangling Danyetta Lentz, 17-year-old Nicole and 14-year-old Scott.

Puckett says she's shocked at how brutal the murders were. Danyette Lentz was stabbed 23 times. Tears streaming down her face, Puckett says she'd like to see the same thing happen to Koepp.

A criminal complaint says Danyette's death was caused by strangulation.

Her son Scott had 6 stab wounds and was strangled. Nicole was stabbed four times and strangled.

The complaint cites a State Crime Lab analysis which found blood stains on Koepp's jeans most likely came from Danyetta and blood on his shirt was likely a mixture of all three victims.

The complaint says a necktie found at the scene also likely contained DNA from the three victims and Koepp. Authorities found at least two knives at the scene.

I would like to clarify that my sister Dannys best friend lives out of state and that Angie Puckett was just a neighbor...some people love to be center of attention.

I am Danyetta's brother and I would like to share a few thoughts here if I may, Even though it has been a very tough year for our family, I would like to say that something good has come from these horrendous murders. I believe that our family has been drawn closer together and that we no longer take each other for granted. We stay in contact a lot more than we did before. Thank you Staph for making your comments. I couldn't agree more. I know that I was shock and horrified about what they found. I don't know how our father has been able to cope.

I'm very pleased that they charged this demon! Now our family can at least move on with healing. I am very disturbed that the news stated how many times they were stabbed that is something i don't beleive our family knew.May GOD watch over Danni, nikki, and Scotti. We love them and very much miss them!!

Its not a matter of anything being "buried". Have you ever heard of Double Jeopardy? If Mr. Koepp were charged, and then found there was not enough evidence to warrant those charges....and lo and behold, we find out that he was a co-conspirator in all of this horrific mess, he would stay a free man. The DA, the State, the Feds...none of them would be able to touch him because he had already been charged with these homicides. Yes, its terribly, terribly sad that Ms Lentz's family has to go through this....but Koepp was already in jail and wasnt going anywhere anytime...in fact its kind of refreshing to think he didnt see it coming on the anniversary of the murders. We can all rest assured that the evidence, although it took its own sweet time getting here, is in and this man will rot in prison/hell.

It is sad it took so long. But I'm sure the da's office will have more than enough evidence to convict him. This isn't CSI you can't solve it in an hour it takes time.

I just don't understand how it took so long to get the results. Was this case buried somewhere? How sad it took so long to get justice for these poor victims.

Yes it is real sad that they died from a man who is sick!
