Ticket auction to benefit tornado victims

LAKE GENEVA—Lake 96.1 is auctioning off two pairs of Hannah Montana tickets to benefit the victims of the tornado that destroyed dozens of homes in Wheatland Township in Kenosha County.

The online auction began this afternoon and closes at 3 p.m. Friday. The top two bidders will each receive a pair of tickets to the sold-out show in Milwaukee on Sunday.

The radio station also is collecting clean-up items—plastic storage bins, heavy-duty trash bags, work gloves and rakes. Items can be dropped off at the following locations: --Lake 96.1, 500 Interchange North, Lake Geneva --Cactus Club, 430 Broad St., Lake Geneva --The Sly Fox, 32800 Geneva Road, Burlington (intersection of Highway 50 and County W in Wheatland)

A relief fund also has been established at M&I Bank, and donations can be made at any branch.

Suggest removal

Because of the incoming snow, the donation large plastic bins and heavy duty trash bags will be very much appreciated. At least they can protect what they can from further damage.
