Armed suspect robs Racine Street Stop-N-Go
A man, carrying a black semi-automatic handgun, ordered the female clerk at the Stop-N-Go Store on East Racine Street to give him money from the cash register at 12:45 a.m. today, according to Janesville police.
After she did, he fled on foot, with an undisclosed amount of money.
Janesville police said the suspect was described as black, 6 feet tall with a slender build. He wore white shoes, dark blue jeans, a dark jacket, a gray-hooded sweat shirt over his head and something covering his face.
Officers arrived on scene and searched the area for the suspect. Assisting them was K9 Hardy and his handler Officer Shaun Mahaffey.

The guy probably was a smoker and needed money to buy cigarettes after Doyle raised the taxes on them.

I can't even begin to tell you how frusterated this makes me. It's just sad when you don't feel safe in your own neighborhood anymore.
