Doyle expected to endorse Obama
MADISON, Wis. (AP) – Gov. Jim Doyle will endorse Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, an aide for the Illinois senator said Saturday.
The aide spoke on condition of anonymity before the official announcement by the second-term Democrat. Obama’s presidential campaign has said campaign manager David Plouffe will announce a major endorsement in a Saturday afternoon conference call with reporters.
Calls to Doyle’s spokesman were not immediately returned Saturday.

Gee, I wonder if ole Diamond Jim is getting a kickback from the Obama campaign...hard to believe this guy would do anything without something coming back his way to line his pockets. Frankly I put about as much stock in a Governor's endorsement as I do Rosie O'Donnell's endorsement.

Second prize is TWO endorsements from Doyle. If I were Obama, I wouldn't be especially pleased to have the endorsement of the fund-raiding, "I never met a campaign donation that didn't deserve an unrelated no-bid contract" Governor of Wisconsin.

Now... if the two fence-sitting uncommitted U.S. Senators were to get up the courage to endorse a Presidental candidate before enough primaries show them which way the fickle winds of politics were blowing, THAT would be a major endorsement from Wisconsin.

Even better, imagine one or both of them stating they were so unimpressed with the Democratic flock of Presidential wanna-bees, that they endorsed a Republican candidate, or a good candidate such as Ron Paul.
