It's a cat that has prowled around Rock County and local conversations: the Milton cougar.

The Rock County Board will hear an update Thursday from the Department of Natural Resources about the cougar, Chronic Wasting Disease and grassland habitats for pheasants. County Board chairman Rich Ott says the board will not take legislative action on the items.

He says the board receives regular reports from the DNR.

Maybe they will hire evansvillehousewife to track it and kill it like the Town of Amity hired Quint to kill the shark. I can hear the music now.

To rexkramer - Brilliant.

Does anyone else see a pattern here:
*
County Jail? We will take no action;
*
County Farm? We will take no action;
*
County Fairgrounds? We will take no action;
*
Cougars in Janesville? We will take no action.

I don't care what the report says, I just hope they actually title it "The Cougar Report". Maybe put one of those sound chips in the front cover with the sound of a cougar growl every time the report is opened. Now that would be a use of my tax dollars I would support.
