Snow totals lowered, warning canceled
The National Weather Service canceled a winter storm warning and lowered snowfall estimates for the system tracking across southern Wisconsin tonight.
The warning had been in effect until 6 a.m. Tuesday. Original outlooks had called for up to 8 inches in counties along the Wisconsin-Illinois border.
Totals are now expected to be about 1 to 2 inches near the Illinois border with only flurries north of Janesville. Snowfall may continue past midnight.
Untreated roads will still be snow-covered and slippery.

My daughter wants to be a weather person. I told her it is the perfect job. Even when your wrong you still get paid and not fired! LOL Glad we didn't get the snow this time. Now if we can just keep everyone off the roads until they are cleared. Stay safe & warm everyone.

Been there- They get their info from a computer and then work up everyone into a frenzy. Schools close early, we are told not to drive on roads and then oppps we were wrong. I guess if they aren't going to be right don't say anything.

cjjs35 - Do you really think that forecasting the weather is that easy? Weather patterns change and disipate at a moment's notice. There's no way to predict that. Give the poor weatherpeople a break...they're doing the best they can to keep us informed.
