From the National Weather Service:

The National Weather Service in Milwaukee/Sullivan has issued a winter storm watch, which is in effect from Monday afternoon through Tuesday morning.

Low pressure is expected to take a favorable track across Missouri Sunday and the Ohio River valley Monday night. Storms taking this track favor heavy snow over northern Illinois and far southern Wisconsin. The precipitation may begin as freezing rain, rain or sleet briefly Monday afternoon before changing to all snow toward sunset. Although snow is expected across all of south central and southeast Wisconsin, the heaviest amounts will be toward the Illinois border.

The snow may be heavy Monday night before tapering to light snow Tuesday morning. North winds will gradually increase to 15 to 25 mph, creating blowing and drifting snow later Monday night into Tuesday morning.

Six to 8 inches of snow are possible from the Madison and Milwaukee areas on south. Highest amounts will be toward the Illinois border. Outside of the winter storm watch, 2 to 5 inches of snow are possible north of Madison and Milwaukee areas. This would include the Wisconsin Dells, Fond du Lac, Sheboygan, and Port Washington.

A winter storm watch is issued when heavy snow, and/or sleet, and/or freezing rain may combine with strong winds to cause major impacts to commerce and society. Continue to monitor the latest forecasts for updates and possible warnings.

I really wish that the city of Janesville would go threw and plow up all the slushy mess and ice packed down before the next storm. The side roads are a mess. Local repair shops will be making a killing on alignments this year.

No, not every week, only in December, January and February. Maybe March this year, too.
