MADISON, Wis. (AP) - A new study shows that Barack Obama spent five times as much as Hillary Rodham Clinton on television advertising in advance of Wisconsin's primary.

Obama beat Clinton on Tuesday 58 percent to 41 percent.

Obama also beat Clinton to the airwaves in the state by a full six days.

Clinton, Obama and Republicans John McCain and Mike Huckabee spent a combined $2.1 million on television advertising in the state. Obama spent more than $1.5 million on almost 6,000 spots.

The findings are included in a report by the University of Wisconsin Advertising Project. It analyzed data from the TNS Media Intelligence Campaign Media Analysis Group.

i wonder how much of the money donated to osama has been laundered from muslim organizations. i bet more than what the public knows now. hopefully we will get the truth after the elections and this clown and his goose necking wife go away to never be heard from in the national arena again. he, like many of his ilk, blame the USA for all the world's problems. he plans changes alright. more entitlement for the cronic lazy, open doors for the meh-he-cans, and a surrender first ask about the terms later attitude. THE CLINTON(s)???....do we want a president who cries every time the going gets tough? the middle eastern countries will laugh at her and have no respect or fear of our power. and power is all the islamic terrorist animals understand. GOD BLESS AMERICA....GO ARMY-BEAT islam!!!!

Where is the "Hot for Obama" crowd? Have they cooled off already? Or have they "got it made, got it made, got it made"? I think that Obama looks inevitable at this point.

In any campaign its always about the money. Obama is a great salesman and a great motivational speaker. He has caught the imagination of the American people and they are flocking to him. Many are intensely loyal to his every word and rabidly protective of him to the point that even the hint of criticism is regarded as blasphemy. It is quite easy to know when you sre dealing with one of them. I think that some others in the party either despise Clinton or are just tired of them. The press seems to favor Obama at every opportunity and only print silly pictures of Clinton or report on Bill's awkward moments. Obama is the big story now, so it is only natural for them. They need to sell papers. Will Obama keep this momentum and secure the nomination? Probably. Will the Republicans give up like they did in 1992 and 1996? I guess we will have to wait and see. It is a long way to November and a lot can happen between now and the real election, but money is like the casting of early ballots.

Is this going to be another "you get what you pay for" deal?

Hmmm... why do I seem to hear the faint whisper of George Herbert Walker Bush snickering "It's the advertising economy, stupid". Did Hill and Bill overstimate how much campaign finance funding they could acquire, or underestimate how much Barack could raise... or were they foolish enough to think their names alone would cause the party "Faithful" to flock to them?
