Three arrested in conjunction with burglary
Three Janesville men are in custody today and awaiting their initial court appearance at the Rock County Jail after an early-morning burglary at a Southside business.
Arrested were Frank V. Thomas, 17, of 411 S. Main St., and Judge O. Woodfin, 26, no fixed address, each on charges of theft, criminal damage and burglary plus Kristopher S. Kazen, 22, on a charge of being party to the crime of burglary.
The men entered Designer’s Touch Hair & Nail Salon, 1839 Lafayette St., at 2:04 a.m. today after breaking a Southside window, which triggered the building’s security alarm and brought Janesville police to the scene, said Sgt. Craig Klementz of the Janesville Police Department.
Upon arrival, officers found one man outside the building and two inside. All three were taken into custody without incident, Klementz said.
An undisclosed amount of cash was taken and some damage occurred to the business property, but Klementz didn’t know how much yet.
