ELKHORN, Wis. (AP) - It's taken years to bring him to trial and today, the jury hearing Mark Jensen's case should begin deliberations.

Jensen is accused of poisoning his wife with antifreeze, then smothering her with a pillow when she didn't die fast enough.

He was charged in 2002 with first-degree intentional homicide. But legal wrangling over evidence delayed the trial.

That evidence includes a letter that his wife - Julie Jensen - wrote before her death implicating her husband if anything should happen to her.

Throughout the six-week trial the defense argued Julie Jensen committed suicide and left the letter to frame her husband.

The 48-year-old Mark Jensen could face a maximum penalty of life in prison without parole if convicted.

Closing arguments are expected to start this morning.
