Update on storm watch
From the National Weather Service:
The winter storm watch is now in effect from late Saturday night through Sunday evening.
Light ice accumulation is expected late Saturday night and Sunday morning, especially over southeast Wisconsin. Snow amounts will range from 4 to 6 inches in far southeast Wisconsin to 8 to 12 inches in east central and south central Wisconsin. Since southeast Wisconsin, including the Milwaukee metropolitan area is near the rain snow line, upcoming forecasts of ice and snow amounts will likely change there. Those with travel plans late Saturday night through Sunday evening should keep up with the latest forecasts.
A Winter Storm Watch is issued when heavy snow, and/or sleet, and/or freezing rain may combine with strong winds to cause major impacts to commerce and society. Continue to monitor the latest forecasts for updates and possible warnings.

Only the truly idiotic, demoncrats, and rinos believe in man-made warming anymore. It is all about getting money from the USA.

turtles4me21 I feel your pain, my street is like yours, and then you have the jackos that park on both sides and think nothing of parking on the end corner when you need the momentum to swing the car up the hill so you don't slide down the hill. I live directly on top of a hill both ways and any way you try to get to my house you either have to go down hills and then climb or just park at the bottom and walk up the hill.
I love the snow! I love when my kids are off from school and I get to see them all day! I am also doing the snow winter dance! I love this weather, it is very calming knowing that my family is all safe and snuggly at home with me.
To everyone else, drive caleful, drive slower if you are unsure of the roads, don't try to break any land speed records, and by all means wear your seat belts!

What happened to all the "the sky is falling!" global warming advocates? Must have gone south for the winter. Seeking a warmer clime. Now that is ironic.

As I look out the window, I see Al Gore sitting in a snow drift. He is smiling and waving at me. He is shouting something that I can barely make out. It... sounds like... yes!

It was only 10,000 years ago that the last major ice age ended with a sudden (almost instantaneous in geological terms) rise in temperatures. This is consistently a 10 degree centigrade increase and appears to cycle about every 100,00 years. We are currently at the peak of this temperature cycle which does an excellent job of explaining the current global warming. I might add that all of these warming periods were accompanied by a 50% increase in atmospheric CO2. Sound familiar? And a little frightening when I look out the window. We appear to be nearing the precipitous drop off period of the cycle, but something seems to be moderating the drop off rate. Could it be human production of CO2 and other greenhouse gases? If that were the case, we would be extremely foolish to attempt to limit their production at this point in the cycle.

mabuse, how stupid, over 100 of years the wx goes in cycles. the ice age was what 10-12 million years ago? It started to melt and formed our rivers, lakes, etc. there was no carbon foot print of man then. If you could live long enough you would see the weather completly change, because the earth is slowly tipping on its axis, the norhern hemisphere will become the southern hemisphere and visa versa, you should be more concerned about recyclying, plastic, foam etc.

dear glib "ithappens": (global) warming increases atmospheric capacity to hold moisture - ergo more precipitation.

I am not sure where the snow will get pushed, our road is just a little over one lane to drive in when people park on the odd side of the road where parking on the street is permitted-its a hill so you need to keep your fingers crossed no one is coming the other way to fast!
