Baldwin, Lawton call for Obama to join Clinton in debate
MADISON, Wis. (AP) - U.S. Rep. Tammy Baldwin and Lt. Gov. Barbara Lawton are calling on Sen. Barack Obama to debate Sen. Hillary Clinton in Wisconsin this week before the state's primary on Feb. 19.
Clinton has accepted an invitation to debate at Marquette University. Obama has not yet replied.
Baldwin and Lawton held a conference call on Monday saying Wisconsin voters need to see the two candidates in a debate format to help them decide who to vote for next week.
Obama's spokesman Dan Leistikow says his schedule is still being put together and it will be impossible to debate in every state. He notes that Obama and Clinton have already debated 18 times with two more planned.

CIM, it's obvious you're a white male or you wouldn't be saying that.
I completely understand their reasoning even though I'm also a white male. Whether someone is black or female, they have been told for their entire lives that this isn't possible. Why not seize the opportunity?

Clinton's campaign funds are running low. Someone else pays for the debates, which is why she wants to debate. It's free air time.

Historically, it's the one behind in the race that wants more debates.

I don't see ANOTHER debate making much difference at this point.

Women that support Clinton cause she is a woman or blacks that support Obama cause he is black should have their voting rights taken away.
