Global warming = climate change.
Variations in the Earths surface temperature will cause a shift in weather patterns.
One example would be tornadoes in WI in January.
We live in world of extremes (i.e. REAL hot to REAL cold) slight changes can produce drastic results. The key word being slight.

While we sit here complaining about all the snow we've gotten (YOU choose to live in Wisconsin) people in the south have died or lost their homes due to tornadoes. Which would you rather have?? I know people die due to winter weather as well. This is the way winter used to be in Wisconsin. The winter tourism industry is BOOMING due to the snow. Just be thankful that we still get snow...if we didn't have winter then we could blame global warming.

This winter reminds me of winters when I was a kid. We were outside playing in it all the time--building snowmen, snowforts, sledding and tunneling into the piles at the end of the driveway (before we found out that wasn't safe!). We'll appreciate all this moisture later in the year, but I do understand how everyone is tiring of it.
