Any public meetings, City Board, Commission, and Committee meetings, events or appointments planned for today also are canceled.

The Janesville Transit System and the Beloit Transit System jointly announced the suspension of the Beloit-Janesville Express bus service for the remainder of the operating day today. The last southbound trip from Janesville to Beloit will leave the JTS Transfer Center at 12:15 p.m. The last northbound trip from Beloit to Janesville will leave the BTS Transfer point at 1 p.m.

All municipal operations are expected to re-open Thursday. Residents are encouraged to check the city website (www.ci.janesville.wi.us) for future updates.
