Robber sentenced to prison
A drug-addicted armed robber was sentenced to 19 years in prison Tuesday morning, and he will be under the state’s extended supervision for another 19 years if and when he is released.
Larry Johnson, 48, formerly of 1814 N. Sumac Drive, Janesville, faced an even longer sentence because he had pleaded guilty to a dozen felonies, including burglary, robbery and armed robbery with use of force.
But Judge Alan Bates made nine sentences concurrent, not consecutive.
