An 18-year-old Milton woman was found unconscious in the parking lot of the Countryside Inn, 1801 E. Highway 59, Milton Township, after she was ejected from her vehicle in a rollover accident.

According to the Rock County Sheriff's Department, a pickup truck driven by Mandy Quinn slid off the icy road around 6:30 a.m., hit a snow bank and rolled, ejecting Quinn.

Quinn was flown by Med-Flight to University Hospital in Madison, where she was in stable condition at 10 a.m.

The Rock County Sheriff's Department reminds drivers to drive slowly and not use cruise control in slippery conditions. If you must drive in tonight's snowstorm, make sure you have windshield washer fluid, plenty of gas and extra warm clothing in your vehicle, and wear a seat belt.

After further review...failure to wear your seatbelt is stupid...no offense.

Did she not just get a ticket for seatbelt violation this past summer?? People that drive pickups think the can't get hurt. Sorry about the accident and hope she's ok but not wearing a seatbelt is stupid.

Whys everybody jumping all over Mark707. He made a very generalized comment that most "reasonable" people including the victem would probably agree with (hindsight is always 20/20). Oh...and these are blogs... there is some degree of "expectation" for folks to say whats on their mind, so how about you others lighten up a bit and quit looking for an argument where there doesn't need to be one. It sucks your friend got hurt, and I hope she recovers quickly and fully; however not wearing your seatbelt (specially in the conditions we have had lately) is foolish...plain and simple.

Actually the golden rule is "do unto others as you would have others do unto you," but we know what you mean.

What happened to the golen rule: IF YOU DON'T HAVE ANYTHING NICE TO SAY, DON'T SAY ANYTHING AT ALL.

I wish Mandy a speedy and healthy recovery.

I am also very concerned for her and wish her a speedy recovery. I have been driving for over 40 years, and I have lost close friends in auto accidents. When I used the term "not very smart" I am not insulting her intelligence, I am commenting on her wisdom. I still maintain that it is not very smart to drive without a seat belt. The results of this accident prove my point.

Always and never are strong words. You meant she "USUALLY" wears it. Because had she been wearing it, she would still have been in the truck. Not on the pavement, unconscience. She is lucky to be alive and I am sure will be an advocate to ALWAYS wear it in the future. I wish her a speedy recovery!

Comming from another one of her friends, I don't get how some of you can sit here and insult someones mentality. If you did know her you would know she is a very smart person. Can't you just leave the insulting comments to yourself?

mark707, this is one of her really good friends, please don't leave comments like that "But not very smart" She -always wore her seatbelt this just happened to be one time where she didn't buckle it but that doesnt mean she's not smart

I have seen cases where ejection still occurs while wearing your seat belt. Belts can break. Don't assume.

Lets worry more about her recovering than insulting her.

The article says "she was ejected from her vehicle". It's not necessary to assume anything. You do not get "ejected" if you wear your belt.

Please don't assume mark that she was not wearing a seatbelt. I'm glad she is in stable condition and I hope she gets well soon!

I wish her a speedy recovery. Everyone else if you have to go out in the next 48 hrs, seat belts, plenty of gas in vehicle. Stay safe.

Icy road. No seatbelt. She is lucky (but not very smart) to be alive.
