Small plane lands on golf course
MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A small plane ran out of fuel before reaching the Dane County Regional Airport and had to land at a nearby golf course.
A Dane County 911 Center supervisor says the plane was about 200 yards short of the airport about 11 p.m. Tuesday when the pilot made a hard landing at Bridges Golf Course to the south.
The pilot was the only person on board and was not injured.

Great line Mainstreet. But I don't think the non-golfing segment of this site picked up on it. Fore!

Don't be so hard on the poor guy. I've landed short on those fairways more than once before, too.

After 40 hours minimum flight instruction, plus the written test, plus the verbal test, plus the medical test, plus the check ride, and people STILL run out of gas.
