A Wisconsin & Southern Railroad engine was involved in a "very minor derailment" in Janesville this morning and has since been put back on the rail, a Wisconsin & Southern spokesman said.

Ken Lucht said one wheel of the engine came off the track at Johnson Street west of Pearl Street at about 9:30 a.m. because of ice in the crossing. The company brought in a crane to put the engine back on the rail and called the police to handle traffic control, he said.

The train was going less than 10 mph and no one was hurt, he said.

"It was just a very minor, minor incident," Lucht said.
