Thief takes 80 collectors guns in Weyauwega
WAUPACA, Wis. (AP) — The Waupaca County Sheriff’s Department is looking for someone who stole 80 collectors guns from a Weyauwega storage unit.
Authorities say $25,000 worth of handguns and rifles were taken. They say some were specialty guns and some were foreign made. Most were in hard, black plastic cases.
Detective Sgt. John Mocadlo says the thief seemed to know where the guns were. They were taken between Nov. 20 and Dec. 9.

highway213 - you mean the Obama that, as a state senator, voted YES on a bill that would have banned nearly every hunting rifle, shotgun and target rifle owned by Illinois citizens? And the Obama that supported a bill that would have shut down law-abiding firearm manufacturers including Springfield Armory. ?

Cheap? Yes, but insurance scam or pawn shop...hard choice when you are broke. Not saying that is the case here but it sounds like it to me.

The guy must be a collector of some junk guns, if they are paying him out @ $312.50 per... They must not the all that "collectable" if that's all they have them valued at. No wonder he has them rusting away in a storage unit..

inside job insurance scam. with that many fire arms, you would think a person would have a good way of protectong all his stuff, including his guns.

They shouldn't be stored in "hard black plastic cases", or any plastic case for that matter. It promotes rust on the firearms.
