MADISON — Madison police say an unidentified male has been found dead on a porch after a night of drinking.

The house is near the UW-Madison campus. A person who lives there called 911 about 5 p.m. Saturday after finding the man on the porch, not breathing.

Authorities say the caller told them the two had been moving into the house Friday and spent the night drinking.

Neighbors say the victim didn't live at the house but was helping a friend move in.

Police say they don't suspect foul play.

The Dane County coroner has scheduled an autopsy for Sunday morning.

It doesn't matter what he died from in terms of how you're exploiting the tragedy to tout your ditch weed.

Disagree with me but don't call me names.

yer ignorant gfan. are you trying to start a debate?? it doesnt say he died from drinking. for all i know he was consuming alcohol the way its meant to be, in moderation for relaxation. you bring me into the convo and reference it as 'demon weed' and yes i will be happy to point out that its LITERALLY impossible to overdose on the 'demon weed' so even if he had been smoking pot earlier in the evening we could say without a doubt that the pot was not the direct reason for his death. we cannot however, say that definitively about the alcohol.

There is no responsible way to drink alcoholic beverages. Total abstinence from alcoholic beverages will not harm the one who practices it or anyone else!

The cause of death isn't known yet, Sarah. Don't assume that he died because he drank too much... it could have been something completely unrelated.

I agree with your remarks on drinking responsibly.

Another UW-Madison student death tied to substance abuse. Please, students, have a great time at school but watch the alcohol intake. We want you to grow old and happy.
