Tyson plant reopens in Jefferson, production cut
JEFFERSON, Wis. (AP) — The flood-damaged Tyson foods plant in Jefferson has reopened, but without nearly half its workforce.
More than 200 of the 480 jobs are being permanently cut because of reduced production.
Operations vice president Mark Odom says the company has analyzed flood damage and decided some equipment won’t be replaced.
Production stopped June 11 after the city of Jefferson asked the company to reduce demands on the wastewater treatment system. Several days later, the plant’s first floor was flooded when the Rock River overflowed. Tyson estimated flood damage at $7 million.

Makes me wonder if Tyson is taking its anger out on City of Jefferson. Is it an older plant or something?

Like I said before, another reason not to buy Tyson products at the store. I don’t see how this is an offensive comment
