Hearings scheduled for inspection fee increases
MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The public will get a chance this week to comment on a proposal to increase fees on everything from operating a tattoo parlor to running a religious camp in Wisconsin.
The higher fees are being proposed to plug a $2.5 million hole in the state Department of Health Services budget.
The fees are levied against restaurants, tattoo and body piercing parlors, campgrounds, hotels, motels and bed and breakfasts, and food vending machine operators.
They pay for state inspections and other licensing requirements.
The public will get a chance to comment on Monday in Eau Claire and Tuesday in Rhinelander. Additional hearings are planned in Green Bay, Milwaukee and Madison.

Until Wisconsin voters wake up I'm sure we can expect more tax and fee increases. Pay more taxes? Pay more in fees?...yes,we can, yes we can!!!

If the Ho-Chunk Indian Tribe paid the money they owe, it would take care of all of these problems.

Ooops! I forgot to mention. Remember the $1.00 miminun wage increase last year? We laid off 1 worker. The 55% increase in personal property tax plus the $40.00 increase in health department license, we closed the business last June.

What about the .005% sales tax the county started last April 07. Hows that workin for ya?
Also, remember the $15.00 increse in license plates last January. Last year I sent the state $135.00, this year since they increased the fees $15.00 per vehicle, I'll send $75.00. Wisconsin goverment is tax, spend, kill business and jobs.

I'm going to guess the $1/ pack cigarette tax increase to fund Badger care just isn't enough. Last June they were already something like $78 million in the red. Expect to see your earned income decrease significantly in the future. This is just the beginning.
