JANESVILLE--City staff members joined the Janesville City Council for a five-hour tour of city projects and priorities.

The tour was intended to get new council members off to a running start and provide a refresher course for returning members.

The biggest ticket item on the tour was the city's wastewater treatment facility on County D. This summer, the council will look at $30 million, long-term plans to upgrade the facility.

The tour also included properties scheduled for demolition and rebuilding, various parks and Rockport Pool.
