Preliminary hearing in triple homicide case
A preliminary hearing is set for Tuesday morning in the case of a triple homicide suspect from Janesville.
49-year-old James Koepp is accused in the January 2007 stabbing and strangulation deaths of Danyetta, Nicole, and Scott Lentz. Bond is set at $750,000, but Koepp is currently serving a term in the Columbia Correctional Institution on a drunk driving conviction. Koepp's defense attorney has said he'd used the preliminary hearing to argue probable cause. A large amount of DNA evidence has been gathered and analyzed, but no charges were filed for a full year in the case.
Tuesday morning's hearing to determine if a trial is warranted is set for 8:30.
