Janesville Stop-N-Go robbed

JANESVILLE — Janesville police are investigating a reported armed robbery at the Stop-N-Go at 714 Center Avenue.

A white male subject, armed with a knife, took an undetermined amount of cash from the clerk around eleven o'clock Monday night. Police say the subject was described as 35 to 40 years old and medium build.

No injuries are reported and the suspect fled on foot.

oh no i think i fit the build better turn myself in... also they could just close a dark and just leave pay at the pump on who cares if you don't sell a few sodas

Those stores need more and better video cameras to help protect the workers. That would help. My son works at one of those stores and I do worry about it.

They should have just gone to Target and taken what they wanted. No worry of getting stopped there.

I almost think some of these businesses that seem to be targets for robberies would be better off closing earlier at night. A cost or risk analysis might reveal they wouldn't really lose money by closing a bit earlier. I know there isn't a proven way to prevent robbery attempts 100%, but there are always ways to make things safer for the employees and customers.
