Farmers eager to get out in the fields
UNDATED (AP) - Heavy snow and recent rain is threatening to delay planting for Wisconsin farmers.
They're eager to get out in the fields, which they describe as soggy and saturated.
Dan Stokes farms in east central Wisconsin. Stokes says if planting is delayed much longer, it could mean higher corn prices this summer and fall. That cost could be passed on to the consumer.
Stokes says for the dairy farmer, corn and feed will cost a lot more.
This week's weather should help. Forecasters expected highs in the 60s, with just a chance for rain later this week.

Mr Stokes, I grew up on a farm in the 1930's Today Farmers complain about everything and your bottom line is always "Higher prices probable for consumers" Your corn will go better if wait two or three more weeks.
