South River Road closed

Rock County has closed South River Road between Happy Hollow and the Highway 11 overpass because of flooding.

The road joins several other roads either closed or posted as high water by the county. They are: -Hanover Road between Hayner Road and the railroad -Beloit Newark Road from Hopkins to Avon Stores Road -Washington Road from Hartzel Road to Stebbinsville Road (closed) -Christiansen Road

Happy Hollow Park is also closed.

Suggest removal

I drove thru S. River Road yesterday, and it is an absolute mess. Many spots were completely submerged by water, and most of the homes looked flooded (their yards completely submerged). Good luck to everyone who lives along the Rock River.
