City closes park roads
The Janesville Parks Department has closed the internal roads in Traxler and Riverside parks because of the high level of the Rock River.
In some cases, water is already covering roads in the parks, said Tom Presny, city parks director.
The parks are still accessible by foot, though the city might consider closing the parks completely early next week if the water continues to rise as expected, he said.
The river is still open to boaters, but Presny urged boaters to stay off. A slow-no-wake order is in effect.
