Beloit Town Board approves hunting permit
BELOIT TOWNSHIP--The Town of Beloit Board on Monday approved a conditional use permit for the hunting preserve at 4605 St. Lawrence Ave., Beloit. The board tightened up conditions regarding "tower hunts" on the original permit approved last year.
Coon Creekâs tower hunts will be limited to four hunts, four times per year. Each hunt must take place in four consecutive hours. Only one hunt may take place per month, and no more than 400 pheasants may be released in each hunt.
In a tower hunt, organizers release game birds from a tower so hunters can shoot at them in flight. Previously, the conditions did not limit the number of birds and did not require the four hours to be consecutive.

The board voted against the residents, for a person who doesn't live in the township, for a business that doesn't produce revenue for the township, for a business that creates excessuve noise. Who's paying off who ?
The business owner said "if you don't like the noise don't stay home when we have the hunts"
One board member calculated at one point that 9600 shots were taken in a 4 hour period.
NO town resident spoke for the hunting now opening a second site.
Thanks town board -- If you can't represent the town residents, who do you represent ?

Why don't they just put the birds in a bag and let the "hunters" shoot them at home. What kind of sport is this?
