Wet weather brings concerns about mold
Melting snow can lead to flooding and also mold problems in Rock County homes.
County Environmental Health Director Tim Banwell says moisture typically enters through a leaky roof or leaky foundation. He says the best way to get rid of the mold is to find the source of the moisture.
He says any kind of carpeting or drywall that's been wet for two or more days probably has mold growing inside it. Although some people have allergic reactions to mold, he says some aren't bothered by it.
