Robson bill to help Janesville volunteers
A new state law will help volunteers at Janesville's HealthNet.
A bill from Senator Judy Robson of Beloit has now been signed into law. The bill allows volunteer pharmacists the same liability protection as doctors and nurses. The law adds pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to the list of agents of the Department of Health and Family Services when they volunteer at clinics for the uninsured. Robson says she was inspired by a retired pharmacist at HealthNet in Janesville.
