Police find missing man near Milton

MILTON TOWNSHIP--Rock County Sheriff's Department officers found a missing man after an evening-long search Saturday.

A call came in at 3:45 p.m. from a residence on N. Hulstatt Drive, Milton, a sheriff's department dispatcher said. A 21-year-old man had an arguement with a family member. He had threatened to harm himself before running into a cornfield.

Officers spent the next four hours combing cornfields near John Paul Road and County Y. The Janesville K-9 unit, Milton Police Department, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources wardens and a Wisconsin State Patrol plane assisted.

The man was apprehended at 7:33 p.m. and transported to Mercy Hospital.
