Federal grand jury indicts Janesville woman
MADISON—A federal grand jury on Wednesday indicted Linda Jo Curtis, 33, Janesville, on a charge of harboring a fugitive—a man convicted of sending threatening letters to President Bush. The charges against Curtis came after an investigation by the U.S. Secret Service and Janesville police. She is accused of harboring Forrest Gabor on June 14, the day after Gabor didn’t return to a residential center in Janesville. Gabor has been convicted twice of sending threatening letters to President Bush and was arrested while on supervised release after being incarcerated for a short time after his second conviction. A warrant for his arrest was issued after Gabor failed to return to a residential center in Janesville on June 13. Gabor had been allowed to leave the center to go to work. If convicted, Curtis faces a maximum penalty of five years in federal prison.
