Robson out as Democratic leader
MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Senate Democrats voted in secret to oust their leader and put the co-chair of the powerful Joint Finance Committee in her place.
Senator Russ Decker of Weston is the new Senate Majority Leader. He takes over for Senator Judy Robson of Beloit.
Democrats voted to replace Robson with Decker during a closed-door meeting today.
Democrats also met last night shortly after the budget passed but did not take a vote.
Decker says he didn't think Robson did anything wrong during the budget negotiations, but there were a number of issues he wishes Democrats would have pushed harder on.
Robson and Decker served on the budget conference committee along with one other Senate Democrat.

Senator Robson has fought incessantly for affordable healthcare for the common man & for her to give up that fight to get a state budget passed for the benefit of the entire state of wisconsin deserves far more than the criticism she is now receiving.

Senator Robson staked her party's reputation on passing universal healthcare (and a massive tax increase).
despite making her entire party stick their necks out and hard line their stance, when the negotiations began, she folded on healthcare like a cheap tent.
As a republican, I wish they would keep her.
