Beloit police want to stem the rising number of recent home burglaries and is asking residents to watch for suspicious activity.

Beloit police Captain Bill Tyler says the burglaries have been reported all over town, but mostly on the far west, and northeast sides.

Two men have been seen driving a vehicle and appear to be checking out potential targets. Occupied and unoccupied homes have fallen victim.

Tyler wants anyone with information to call the Beloit Police Department or the Rock County 911 Center.
