Beloit to hold training exercise Wednesday
A small section of Beloit's East side will be temporarily blocked to traffic Wednesday morning due to a Rock County Emergency Government training exercise.
Beloit police Captain Bill Tyler says several police and fire departments from the stateline area will be taking part in the event, which roughly runs from 8 a.m. into the early afternoon.
The area affected is on the Northeast end of the Beloit College campus from Emerson and Clary to Woodward and White.
Tyler says the public may hear sirens and other noises during parts of the exercise.
