Janesville prepares for winter storm
Janesville's snow plows are ready to handle winter weather this weekend, although Operations Director John Whitcomb says freezing rain might be a bigger problem. Whitcomb says city crews have been making last-minute checks of snow removal equipment. The city's policy is to start plowing when two to three inches of snow have accumulated.
That's also when, by ordinance, the City Council declares a snow emergency.
