Bomb threat called into Lakeland School
ELKHORN—A bomb threat on Lakeland School kept students home Thursday, according to a press release from Walworth County.
A staffer listened to the message on her voice mail about 8 a.m., Thursday. It was left after the school closed Wednesday, according to the release.
Students initially remained on busses, which started arriving about 8:30 a.m. Staff and students were later taken to across the street to Westside Elementary School while a search was conducted, according to the release. Students were taken home about 9:30 a.m.
Police, including the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Department bomb-detection dog and an explosive ordinance disposal deputy, conducted a search of the building and the grounds. No bomb was found.
The building was cleared at 11:30 a.m. and staff was allowed to return for the remainder of the workday.
Elkhorn police and the Walworth County Sheriff’s Department are continuing to investigate the origin of the call.
Lakeland School is a school for children with disabilities.

This is a sick thing to do, I hope that they catch the person who made this threat. Why do people have to be this way?? It is getting to be a sick society, all these bomb threats through out the country. What happened to everybody getting along and helping one another. Not all this terrorist stuff.
