Janesville City Council member Paul Williams announced today that he won't seek re-election to the council.

Williams, 56, is serving his fourth two-year term. He said he and his wife, Mary, are investigating other career opportunities, which could include a move to the West Bend area.

Three of the seven council seats are open in the April election. Incumbents Craig DeGarmo and Tim Wellnitz also announced recently that they will not run again.

One person, businessman Karl Dommershausen, has taken out papers to run.
