The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory tonight for southern Wisconsin, including Rock and Walworth counties. The advisory is in effect from 6 p.m. until 6 a.m. Thursday. Two to 3 inches of snow are possible, with a more wintery mix of rain and snow closer to Lake Michigan. Precipitation will likely start as a rain-snow mix before turning to all snow in southern Wisconsin. The advisory had been set to start at 3 p.m. today, but was pushed back early this morning.
