Big Foot Relay For Life joined forces with the Lakes Area Relay For Life to form the Relay For Life of Walworth County.

The Lakes Area and Big Foot events have been successful, but will merge because of their proximity. The committees that coordinated the two separate events will team up to bring the whole community together into one event to fight cancer.

The 2008 event, which is projected to be bigger than ever, will be July 25-26, at the Walworth County Fairgrounds.

The first meeting for the combined committees will be 5:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26, at Delavan's Community Bank, 820 E. Geneva St.

People from both events can come together, meet each other and begin planning for the 2008 Relay. Any residents who would like to volunteer to plan or assist with event are invited.
