Milton begins superintendent search
MILTON — The Milton School Board is first conducting interviews of two consulting firms Monday to help speed the search for a new superintendent.
School board member Rob Roy says hiring consultants is much more cost-effective than using district staff to conduct a search in addition to their present duties. The school board expects to spend between $5,000 and $7,000 on the consulting firm. The consultants will conduct focus groups within the community, staff and administration to find out what type of superintendent suits Milton best.
Roy says ideally, the new superintendent would start July 1, shortly after current superintendent Peg Ekedahl retires.
